Guyanese National Pleads Guilty

NEW YORK, CMC – A Guyanese national charged in an international plot to blow up fuel lines at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in 2007 has pleaded guilty to furnishing material support to his co-defendants. “I provided guidance in order to assist them in their plan to attack the fuel line at JFK airport to cause major economic harm to the United States,” Abdel Nur told US District Judge Dora Irizzary, of Brooklyn federal court, one day before he was scheduled to go on trial.

FWTT Leads the Way
Only in it’s third year, Fashion Week Trinidad & Tobago (FWTT) proved itself as the leader in Fashion Week showcases in the Caribbean. Not only did they produce eight nights of sold out shows held on both islands of Tobago for two nights then on Trinidad for six nights, but they were able to entice the island’s Prime Minister to attend as well as gave an inspiring speech establishing support for the growing Caribbean Fashion Industry.
