MENS FASHION TRENDING NOW | London, Milan, spring/summer, 2013, Men's fashion, trending

By: Walter Greene

The men's shows coming out of Milan and London previewing spring/summer
2013 has common threads of vintage and color running through most of the
designers presentations. Like proud peacocks men in 2013 will be
flaunting their plumage with verve and aplomb, that's if the designers
have their way and customers go for the return of the flambouyance of
an era gone by. Some designers were way overboard like who showed color
upon color in bold brights that looked like a colorful Carnival
festival. Their coats came in bright orange, over red shirts, over lime
green slacks and teamed with pink and white oxfords. Are men ready for
all that?

CHRISTOPHER'S NEWNESS
At London designer Christopher Raeburn's showing, he focused on
outerwear in military and surplus fabrics. He is known to push the
boundaries in sustainable fashion, he is one of the designers who has
taken simple parkas and made them popular fashion items, even bringing
them out of a raingear mode into multi-seasonal outerwear. He's
mastered the technology of outerwear and now even creating parkas that
can easily be teamed with formal wear or business suits.

FASHION REVOLUTION
For spring/summer 2013 Christopher has incorporated insets of mesh on
his bold outerwear. He's now creating cutting edge developments in
lightweight fabric blens that offer a fresh new approach to layered
dressing for men. This designer is truly ahead of his time and the
industry is loving his futuristic approach to menswear. His latest
clothing development is also centered around increased emphasis he
places in the tailoring of his modern menswear. His concept of
re-cycling fabrics does not go un-noticed as his revolutionary approach
to the new color blocked polo shirts.
