La Toya Jackson landed her very own reality TV series on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. The Indie Wire blog, “Shadow and Act” reports that the series is titled Life With La Toya and it will give viewers an “up and close and personal look” at Jackson’s lifestyle.
Ms. Jackson says that she “juggles the many demands of her famous family, finding time for lifelong friends and dealing with a growing entertainment business empire.” She adds, “I am so pleased to be working with television legend Oprah Winfrey and to be part of the family… This will be one of the most exciting adventures of my life.”
Recently, Ms. Jackson was “fired” from NBC’s show, Celebrity Apprentice in episode 8, season 11 in 2011. However; she was then “rehired” in the following episode only to be fired a week of two later. She is the first person in the history of The Apprentice to be fired twice in the same season.
Ms. Jackson was also a guest judge in RuPaul’s Drag Race, in two episodes of season three. She also served as a guest judge in the 17th season of America’s Next Top Model.
Life With La Toya will premiere on OWN in 2013.
