Today, the highly anticipated remake, Sparkle hit theaters. Jordin Sparks, Carmen Ejogo, Tika sumpter, Mike Epps, Derek Like, and Omari Harwick all starred alongside the late Whitney Houston in a film that follows three sisters on their journey through the music industry. Sparkle also includes scenes about these characters’ struggles with fame and drug addiction.
