Maya Rudolph: What ‘SNL’ taught her & her advice for new the cast

Maya Rudolph, the Saturday Night Live actress and co-star of the 2011 comedy produced by Judd Apatow, Bridesmaids talks to Savannah Guthrie on The Today Show about the new sitcom she will star in, Up All Night.

According to TheGrio.com, Rudolph will play a character that has lost her job as a television anchor in the new NBC comedy series. In the video interview below, the actress talks to Guthrie about one of the episodes in which her character auditions for a role on The Today Show.

Aside from discussing the main character and fun moments in the show, Rudolph also talks about how being a part of the SNL cast helped her in all aspects of her life, including raising her own children. According to The Today Show interview, acting on SNL helped her realize how quickly some things could be accomplished. In addition, she also shares the following advice with new SNL cast members: “this is just a window in your career so enjoy it.” Learn more in the video interview.
