John Legend cancels North American tour

R&B singer John legend, who had initially planned a North American tour, just cancelled because he has not finished the new album. According to TheGrio.com, the tour was supposed to include the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn but will be delayed until 2013.

The New York Times blog, that reported this news earlier today, states that the singer and songwriter “abruptly canceled a North American tour on Thursday that had been scheduled to start later this month.”

Mr. Legend also posted a letter to his pans on his website where he explains he had fallen behind in the studio and had not yet finished “Love in the Future,” his first new album since “Wake Up!” The New York Times Blog also reported that his initial plans involved finishing the album then start performing the new songs on tour for the 2012 Fall season. The tour was set to begin in Clearwater, Florida on October 16.
