EMPIRE CITY MOLES CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON
December 8, 2012-The Empire City Moles, one of the first national African American women social clubs established in 1950, held their annual Christmas Luncheon at the Davenport Country Club in New Rochelle, NY, with family friends and spouses (Mules).

40 Years of Building Communities and Empowering People
December 5, 2012-SoBRO Pillars of the Bronx, Not-for Profit organization, which mission is to enhance the quality of life in the South Bronx by strengthening businesses and creating innovative economic, housing, educational and career development programs for youth and adults held its 40th Anniversary at Grand Hyatt New York, Empire Ballroom in midtown Manhattan.
This year honorees were, Pride of the Bronx (David C. Banks, President & CEO/The Eagle Academy Foundation, Best of the Bronx (Bob Simon, CBS News 60 Minutes Correspondent, Pillar of the Bronx (Pat Simone, Founder Simone Development Companies, Spirit of the Bronx (Roscoe C. Brown, Jr., Tuskegee Airman and Former President, Bronx, Community College, Corporate Founder Award (Citi, Corporate Honoree), and Master of Ceremonies was Bill Evans (Senior Meteorologist Eyewitness News WABC-TV.
